Why American Tactical

American Tactical, or ATI, is an importer and gun maker in Summerville, South Carolina. It moved there from Rochester, New York starting in 2013.

It imports German Sports Guns (GSG) and sells its own budget AR-15 rifles and parts. The odder stuff is the fun part: the MilSport AR in .410 with an 18.5 inch barrel, the Galeo built from surplus Galil kits, and a .22 LR Glock conversion near $100.

Think of it as an entry level brand. We'd look at an ATI rifle if price is the main limit, and compare it against other budget ARs before you buy.
