How forced reset trigger fitment works
A forced reset trigger does one thing a normal trigger does not: it uses the bolt carrier's forward travel to push the trigger back to reset. That is why it needs a carrier with the full auto profile on the underside. A semi auto carrier has that surface milled away, so there is nothing to push with, and the gun fires once and goes dead.
Timing is the second half. The trigger has to finish resetting before the carrier comes back and the hammer follows. A gun that is overgassed, or running a light buffer, cycles faster than the reset can keep up with, and you get hammer follow, light strikes, or a trigger that feels locked. The fix is almost never the trigger. It is a heavier buffer, a fresh spring, or less gas.
Binary triggers are simpler. They fire on the pull and again on the release, no carrier interaction, so they run on any carrier. They still shoot fast enough that the same buffer advice applies.

What is the difference between a forced reset trigger, a binary trigger and a Super Safety?
A forced reset trigger uses the bolt carrier to push the trigger forward after each shot, so the trigger is reset for you. A binary trigger fires once on the pull and once on the release. What does an AR-15 need to run a forced reset trigger?

Why does my forced reset trigger fire one or two rounds and go dead?
Nine times out of ten it is a semi auto carrier. Without the full auto profile there is nothing to push the trigger forward. If the carrier is right, the gun is undergassed or the buffer is too light for the trigger to keep up.
Is there a forced reset trigger for a Glock?

Do binary triggers need a full auto carrier?
No. Binary triggers work on standard semi auto carriers. They still benefit from a heavier buffer on a fast shooting gun.
