Do Glock generations change the size?
Sometimes. Glock lists the Glock 19 Gen3 at 7.36 in long and 1.26 in wide, and the Gen5 at 7.28 in long and 1.34 in wide. The V models share every Gen5 dimension. Pick the generation under each model to redraw it.
Which Glocks share a frame?
Glock builds the same outside size in several calibers. Models with identical length, height and width include the 20, 21; the 17, 47; the 32, 44. They differ in what they shoot, not in the holster they need.
Is the Glock 19 compact or full size?
Compact. Glock puts the 19 in its compact class: 7.28 in (185 mm) long and 5.04 in (128 mm) tall. The 17 is the full size and the 26 the subcompact of the same family.
