Why Anderson Manufacturing
Anderson made cheap AR-15 lowers, uppers and parts in huge volume out of Hebron, Kentucky, and assembled every rifle there.
The stripped lower is what it's known for. On builds it runs about $44 against roughly $215 for a typical lower, a price very little else matches.
That's ending. Ruger bought Anderson and its plant in 2025 and won't continue the brand, so what's left is old stock. In early October only about 3% of its listings across stores were in stock.
We'd grab one if you find it for a cheap spare lower or a first build. Don't plan a build around getting one.
