Why Battle Arms Development

Battle Arms Development started in 2009 in Henderson, Nevada, and its ambidextrous designs helped make ambi controls normal on the AR. The BAD-ASS selector and The RACK charging handle came first, complete rifles later.

The BAD-ASS selector is CNC machined from steel bar stock, and you can swap between several lever sizes on each side. The RACK is the ambidextrous charging handle.

The rifle line covers the Workhorse, Authority Elite, Silent Pro, Tanker, Xiphos and the OIP, sold as the lightest production AR-15 out. It also makes uppers, rails, lower parts, and titanium and carbon fiber parts.

BAD uppers show up in about 3% of AR builds here, at about $475 against roughly $400 for the typical upper. Its takedown pins hold about 2% of that slot.

Everything carries a limited lifetime warranty against defects, but it doesn't cover fit problems with other brands' parts or anything you modify. Expect to pay more than mil-spec for all of it.
