Cross Machine Tool, or CMT, is a veteran owned shop that programs, cuts and finishes its parts on its own machines. It makes billet AR receivers, UHPR handguards, J.A.G. gas blocks and Plan B muzzle devices.
The billet receivers are 7075-T6 with Type III hardcoat, and the lowers have flared, broached magwells for consistent mag fit. They come in AR-15 and AR-10 sizes.
UHPR handguards run 3.25 to 17 inches in M-LOK, quad, hybrid and ARCA styles, and they go on without shims or clocking the barrel nut. Plan B muzzle devices come in 1/2-28, 5/8-24 and HUB threads.
Handguards sell a bit above the typical rail, about $200 against roughly $175. The warranty covers manufacturing defects, not the lifetime promise some brands give.
We'd look at CMT if you want a matched billet set or a rail that's easy to install. For a basic build, a forged lower costs less.

Well, I've been using the Cross Machine Tool lower for a few months now and it's held up pretty well. No major complaints, just a couple small things - the finish seems to wear a bit faster than I expected, and the takedown pins feel a tad loose. But overall, it's a solid product and I'd consider buying another one.
Works great. I have a few of their parts on my rifle and haven't had any problems. Good quality.
Got this Cross Machine Tool upper for my AR build and it's been great. Runs smooth and accurate. Didn't have any fitment issues and the finish is legit. Took it out and put a few hundred rounds through it with no malfunctions. Definitely recommend this brand.
Just got this Cross Machine Tool bolt carrier group and I'm really impressed. Smooth cycling, good finish, and tight tolerances. Went to the range and ran like a champ through 500+ rounds. Definitely a quality piece of kit. 10/10 would buy again.
