Why Fightlite Industries
FightLite builds in Melbourne, Florida and grew out of ARES Defense, started in 1997. It makes the odd stuff for an AR lower: belt fed and dual feed uppers that go on the receiver you already own.
The MCR Dual-Feed uppers take both belts and magazines in 5.56 or .308 and run $6,400 to $7,000. The DFX belt fed upper comes in 12.5 and 16.25 inch barrels around $4,000, and a belt feed conversion kit is about $3,000. There's also the SCR, the HERRING lever action and the RIP Brake.
This is a toy for people who already have everything. We'd only go here if a belt fed is the whole reason you're building.
