Grey Ghost Precision is a Wallace, Idaho shop that machines billet AR receiver sets and complete uppers, plus slides for the Glock 17, 19, 43 and SIG P320.
The MKII billet set is cut from 7075-T6 and held to plus or minus .001 inch. It has a flared magwell, built in trigger guard, ambi bolt release and a nylon tipped tension screw for a tight upper. It costs $399 and weighs 1.12 pounds.
Its handguards come in about $130 against roughly $175 for the typical one. In early October only about 14% of its listings across stores were in stock.
The receiver set ships without a forward assist, port door or small parts, and barrels may need heating to fit. We'd buy the MKII for a tight billet build if you can find one.
