Why Radian
Radian machines most of its parts in Redmond, Oregon, and does its own Cerakote. It started as AXTS Weapons Systems and took the Radian name in 2016, with the same owners and staff.
The Raptor is the part everyone knows: an all billet ambidextrous charging handle you can run from either side, about $105 in black. The Raptor-LT drops to about 1.2 ounces with 7075 aluminum and polymer, and the Raptor-SD is vented to push suppressor gas out the sides.
The Talon 45/90 ambi safety uses screwless levers that don't work loose, at about $65. Radian also makes forward assists in aluminum and titanium, a QD end plate, the Anchor + Magwell for Glocks and the Model 1 rifle at a little over $3,000.
The Raptor is the most added charging handle, in about 41% of builds that have one, at about $115 against roughly $89. The Talon is the second most added safety at about $65 against roughly $45, and Radian's forward assist is second in its slot too.
The trade-off is price. A Raptor costs more than most good handles, and if you shoot suppressed you'll want the SD, which runs about $135 in black. The LT is light but doesn't suit every build.
Radian is busy on pistols. The Gen 5 Glock Anchor + Magwell is listed at $110 to $115, but wasn't in stock on Radian's own store in early October. The plain black AR-15 Raptor, LT and SD were sold out there too, while other colors were in.
We'd start with the Raptor, or the SD on a suppressed gun. Add the Talon if you also want an ambi safety that won't shed its screws.
