Why Manticore Arms

Manticore Arms is an Illinois shop started by a former architect after the 2008 slump. Its first part was a new charging handle for the Steyr AUG and MSAR.

It still focuses on guns the big brands ignore: AUG and Tavor handguards and charging handles, Scorpion safeties and flash hiders, AK stocks and rails, and SIG 556 parts.

The muzzle devices are what AR owners see, like the Nightbrake and the Eclipse flash hider, sold in thread pitches like 5/8x24 and 14x1 left hand, with versions for AK and Scorpion barrels.

Fit for niche guns is the selling point, so check your exact model and thread before you order. We'd go to Manticore first if you own an AUG, Tavor or Scorpion.

  • Manticore muzzle devices include flash hiders, comps and brakes like the Nightbrake and Eclipse, in thread pitches such as 14x1 LH and 5/8x24.
  • Their first product was a new charging handle for the Steyr AUG and MSAR rifles.
