About Powerbelt Bullets

PowerBelt makes muzzleloader bullets in the BPI Outdoors family with CVA, like the AeroTip and copper lines in .45, .50 and .54 caliber.

Muzzleloader bullets

Why Powerbelt Bullets

PowerBelt makes muzzleloader bullets under BPI Outdoors, the same family as CVA, Bergara and Quake. The idea is a bullet with a gas check skirt instead of a sabot, so loading is quicker.

The lines include AeroTip, Copper, Pure Lead, Aerolite and the ELR for the CVA Paramount, in .40, .45, .50 and .54. The .45 ELR is longer than a same weight .50 bullet and hits a .333 ballistic coefficient.

These only matter if you hunt muzzleloader season, and the ELR is built around one rifle. We'd test a couple of weights in your gun before buying in bulk, since every barrel likes something different.

  • The .45 caliber ELR bullets are longer than a same weight .50 caliber bullet and, with the tapered shape, hit a .333 ballistic coefficient.
