Why Red

Red Army Standard is Century Arms' house brand of imported range ammo for AK and Soviet era guns. It's been made in several countries over the years, including Russia, Ukraine, Romania, Bosnia and Poland.

The 7.62x39 load uses lacquered steel cases, non corrosive primers and a sealant on the primer and case mouth for storage. The brand also covers 7.62x25, 9x18, 5.45x39 and 7.62x54R.

Steel cases aren't reloadable, and some Romanian lots from around 2013 had corrosive components, so clean after shooting older boxes. For cheap AK practice, we'd buy it by the case.
