About Rio
Rio is a Spanish shotshell brand known for cheap target, game and steel shot loads. US shells are assembled in Tennessee.

Why Rio
Rio is a Spanish shotshell brand dating to 1896, now made by Sofiam Iberica, part of Sofisport, the largest shotshell group in Europe. US shells are assembled at Rio's own factory in McEwen, Tennessee, opened in 2003, with the US office in McKinney, Texas.
The line runs from cheap dove and Top Target loads to Star Team competition shells, BlueSteel and bismuth waterfowl loads and the paper hulled Vintage 1896. Defense loads are buckshot and slugs.
This is shotgun ammo only, nothing for an AR. For a case of clays or dove loads at a fair price, we'd buy Rio.
- Rio makes hunting, target and defense shotgun loads, including steel, bismuth and buckshot.
- Rio opened a factory in McEwen, Tennessee in 2003 to assemble shells for the US market.
- There are lead free loads and products made with biodegradable materials.
