Why SIM-X

SIM-X makes lead free pistol ammo in the US around its SubMass bullet, a polymer core that weighs about 80 to 90 percent less than lead.

The DefenseCore .45 ACP is a 72 grain hollow point at about 1,825 fps, around $28 for 20. DefenseCore also comes in 9mm and .40 S&W, and there are RangeCore, DutyCore and BattleCore lines.

Light bullets mean less recoil and they run suppressed without +P pressure, but they behave nothing like standard hollow points, so test them in your gun. We'd try SIM-X for a suppressed pistol.
