Why ZEV Technologies
ZEV Technologies helped start the custom Glock scene with drop in triggers, slides and barrels. It opened a plant in Centralia, Washington in 2016, now its headquarters, and SilencerCo bought it in July 2024.
Glock upgrades are still the core, along with ZEV's own OZ9 pistols. The FDP-9 folding pistol and FDC-9 carbine came from a project with Magpul. SilencerCo kept ZEV as its own gun maker rather than an OEM supplier.
ZEV also makes AR parts. Its muzzle devices fill about 2% of AR muzzle slots at around $48 against roughly $73, while its handguards run about $322 against roughly $175.
In early October only about 30% of its listings across stores were in stock.
We'd buy a ZEV muzzle device when you can find one; the handguards cost well over average, so compare first.
