Magpul
Overview
This Magpul M-LOK Offset Light Mount is constructed from polymer and designed to interface with M-LOK rail systems. It positions weapon lights in an offset configuration, maintaining a low profile close to the handguard. The offset design is intended to clear front sights and other accessories while minimizing overall weapon width. GPP build data shows this mount commonly appears on lightweight carbine builds. Builders on GPP frequently pair this mount with compact weapon lights and M-LOK handguards. The most common configuration observed is a forward-mounted position.
Pros
- +M-LOK interface provides direct attachment to compatible handguards, reducing bulk.
- +Offset design allows for tighter light placement, reducing snag points compared to some other light mounting solutions.
- +Polymer construction contributes to a lighter overall build compared to metal alternatives.
- +Black finish is the most common color option in the GPP catalog.
Trade-offs
- −This product is a light mount, a mid-range option in the GPP catalog, while most products in this category are scope mounts.
- −This mount utilizes the M-LOK interface, the second most common in the GPP catalog, whereas most products in this category use Picatinny.
