Why Franklin Armory

Franklin Armory invented the Binary Firing System trigger and builds in Minden, Nevada, with parts and materials sourced in the US. It also makes AR rifles, pistols and lowers, including state compliant models.

Binary triggers add a third selector position that fires one round on the pull and one on the release. On the BFSIII you can cancel the release shot by moving the selector back to semi or safe while still holding the trigger.

The AR line is the AR-Essential at about $200 on sale and the AR-Elite at about $300. There's a BFSIII for 10/22s, a version for the FN SCAR, and complete rifles like the OPS-16.

Its triggers come in around $285 against roughly $170 for the typical trigger, and they fill about 2% of trigger slots. Lowers run about $380 against $215.

Binary triggers aren't legal everywhere, so check your state first. We'd pick Franklin for a binary because that release cancel lets you skip the second shot when you need to.
