Why Rise Armament

Rise Armament started in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma in 2012, with roots in machining for the oil and aerospace trades. It still works that way: triggers built to AS9100 aerospace rules and checked on gauges good to five decimal places.

The RA-535 is why most people know the name. It's a single stage drop-in cassette with a 3.5 lb pull, heat treated tool steel and aluminum parts, Nickel Teflon coated internals and anti-rotation pins in the box. It fits mil-spec AR-15 and AR-10 lowers and works with 45 degree safeties.

The RA-434 sits a step below it, the Rave 140 is a cheaper curved shoe, and the T22 is a two stage with independent stages and a 3 lb total. The 2025 RA-100 is a 4.5 lb two stage in S7 tool steel at $109.99. Rise also sells mag releases and rifles.

Rise is the second most added trigger, in about 31% of builds that have one. It usually goes for about $120 against roughly $167 for a typical trigger, far under the RA-535's $259.99 list. Its mag releases rank third in their slot at 16%.

The trade-off is the pull itself. A 3.5 lb single stage with almost no take-up or overtravel and a very short reset is fast at the range, but it's light for a rifle you might grab under stress. For a home defense gun, a heavier two stage is the more forgiving choice.

Finding one isn't hard. In early October about three quarters of Rise listings across stores were in stock, and everything Rise makes carries a lifetime warranty.

We'd start with the RA-535 if you want a crisp range trigger for the price of a mid grade one. If the rifle is for defense, we'd go with the RA-100 instead.

  • The RA-535 is a single stage drop-in with a 3.5 lb pull and Nickel Teflon coated internals.
  • The RA-535 is machined from heat treated tool steel and aluminum to AS9100 aerospace quality rules.
  • Rise puts a lifetime warranty on everything it makes.
