Samson ranked #91 of 323 brands on GunPartPicker in September 2026, just behind Ultradyne, with about 1 in every 1000 parts builders added. Down from #76 in August. Builders reached for Samson mostly for foregrip parts. The most added single part was the Samson Manufacturing Picatinny Grenade Style Medium Vertical Foregrip, Black - Enhanced Grip for Tactical Use - 04-06097-01, on top again this month.

Foregrips were the busiest Samson category in September: 11 products came back in stock, several more than once, and demand for them fell about 39% on August. About 44% of the 186 Samson products we track are in stock today.

Why Samson

Samson has made AR, AK and HK parts in Keene, New Hampshire since 1994, and designs, machines and finishes them there from US materials. It also holds a Type 07 FFL with SOT, so it builds whole firearms, not just accessories.

The SXT handguard is its core AR part: 6061-T6 aluminum with Type III hard anodizing, a seven sided M-LOK layout, ambi QD points and lengths from 4 to 15 inches starting at $150. For lighter builds, the SXS is a 13 inch tube at 6.8 oz on a barrel nut that needs no clocking.

Around that you get folding and fixed iron sights, red dot and magnifier mounts, M-LOK and Picatinny vertical grips in aluminum and polymer, and handguards for AK, HK and SIG rifles. The SAS/22 chassis turns a Ruger 10/22 into a folder, and the takedown version folds to 24.5 inches.

Samson grips sit sixth in the foregrip slot, in about 4% of builds that have a foregrip. About half of Samson listings across stores were in stock in early October.

The trade-off is weight. The SXT keeps a full length Picatinny top rail and thick walls, so it saves little over many factory rails, and on a SIG M400 it's only slightly lighter than the factory rail. Samson's aluminum grips are sturdy, but they carry more weight than polymer.

The new SAS/22 takedown chassis is busy enough that lead times can run past 30 days, with payment held until the order ships.

We'd start with an SXT if you want a tough rail with a top Picatinny for lights and irons. If weight matters more, look at the SXS.
