Why Scalarworks
Scalarworks makes light, minimal optic mounts and backup iron sights. The line is LEAP quick detach mounts, PEAK irons, FUSE bolt on mounts, KICK extension mounts and SYNC mounts for shotguns.
LEAP is the one people buy. Each model is cut for one optic family: LEAP/01 for the Micro T-2 and CompM5 at 1.42, 1.57 or 1.93 inches, LEAP/03 for the ACRO C-2, LEAP/04 for RMR footprint dots and LEAP/05 for the MRO.
There are sixteen LEAP models, and that fit is the point. You buy the mount for your exact optic and height instead of a universal plate, so choose your optic first.
Scalarworks holds about 2% of optic mounts in builds here. The harder part is stock: in early October only about 14% of its listings across stores were in stock.
The limited lifetime warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship, not misuse, and a mount sold with an optic falls under the optic maker's warranty. We'd buy a LEAP when one is in stock for your optic, rather than wait months for it.
