SureFire ranks #20 of 393 brands on GunPartPicker so far in October 2026, just behind Tacfire, with about 1% of every part builders added. That's its 2nd straight month at #20. Builders are reaching for SureFire mostly for light parts. The most added single part is the SureFire Rail Grabber Tape Switch - 7" - Black, on top again this month.

Weapon lights are the busiest SureFire category so far in October: 4 products have come back in stock, several more than once. Suppressors have not been restocked once this month. About 53% of the 323 SureFire products we track are in stock today.

Why SureFire

SureFire started in Fountain Valley, California in 1979 and still supplies lights and lasers to the US armed forces. What you buy for an AR is built for duty use, which is where the price comes from.

The Scout Light Pro is the rifle light most people know: 1,000 lumens, 11,300 candela, two 123A cells, 4.4 oz and 5.5 inches, with a Z68 tailcap and a mount for Picatinny or M-LOK. The SOCOM brake doubles as the Fast Attach mount for its cans.

The line runs from the Turbo and Dual Fuel Scout lights to the X300 and XC3 pistol lights. The SOCOM-4 cans are Inconel, from 15 oz and 5.5 inches on the MINI4 to 17 oz on the RC4, and they lock onto older SOCOM brakes.

SureFire makes the most added switch, in 42% of builds with one. Its parts sit well above the typical part: about $280 for a light against roughly $156, and $1,470 for a suppressor against roughly $900. Builds with SureFire carry an EOTech half the time.

Price is the complaint, and on lights you don't always get more beam for it. The Scout Light Pro puts out 11,300 candela, while a Streamlight HL-X hits 50,000 for a lot less money.

The SOCOM-4 silencers landed in December 2025 with 60% lower back pressure than conventional designs, at $1,449 to $1,549. The UDR Dominator is also coming back.

We'd buy SureFire for a suppressor you'll run hard or for a switch, where it leads. For a light, check the candela before you pay extra.
