Why Velocity Triggers
Velocity Triggers is Velocity Precision Engineering in Phoenix, Arizona, run by Tom Vehr, who has spent over 40 years designing and building triggers. The goal is a bolt action feel on an AR: a crisp break and a very short reset.
The Classic AR trigger is a single stage drop in with DLC coating, in 3, 3.5, 4 or 4.5 lb, curved or straight, from about $165. It works in .223, .308 and .22 rifles but not 9mm. The MPC line and a 9mm PCC version run about $215.
There's also a steel case version with a stronger hammer and spring for hard primers, 4 lb only, at about $175. The shop makes 10/22 trigger kits, an adjustable gas block and a recoil-less bolt carrier too.
Modifying the trigger voids the warranty. We'd buy the steel case model for a 7.62x39 or cheap ammo build, and the Classic for everything else.
