Phase 5 Weapon Systems
Overview
The Phase 5 Version 2 Extended Bolt Release (EBRV2) is designed to enhance the functionality of your AR-15 by providing an extended surface area for easier access during bolt manipulation. This extended design allows for more intuitive operation, especially in high-stress situations, making it easier to lock the bolt back or release it without shifting your grip. You'll often find this component in builds utilizing a mid-length gas system chambered in 5.56 NATO, where quick and efficient handling is essential.

Phase 5 EBRV2 extended bolt release at 2.15 inches is exactly what I wanted for fast empty mag lockback. The extended paddle is easy to slap with the trigger finger or support thumb. Drop in fitment with the standard catch spring.
paddle profile sticks out just enough to thumb under load but not so much that a sling clamps it. install was the standard bolt catch swap, took 4 min. spring tension is correct, holds bolt back on empty magazines
phase 5 EBR V2 extended bolt release, paddle extends past the standard for easier thumb access without breaking grip. drops onto a mil spec lower with no fitting. one of the best bolt catch upgrades for the money
