Lantac ranked #75 of 519 brands on GunPartPicker in October 2026, just behind Diamondback, with about 1 in every 500 parts builders added. Down from #62 in September. Builders reached for Lantac mostly for gas tube parts. The most added single part was the LANTAC Mid-Length Gas Tube - Nitride, on top again this month.

Muzzle devices were the busiest Lantac category in October: 8 products came back in stock, several more than once. Demand for bolt carrier groups slipped about 23% on September. About 46% of the 202 Lantac products we track are in stock today.

Why Lantac

Lantac started in the UK as a shop building rifles from other makers' parts, and the Dragon brake came out of that work. The US company followed around 2015, moved from California to Texas, and now builds in Fort Worth.

The Dragon is a 4140 chrome moly brake, about 3.2 ounces, threaded 1/2x28. A pre-chamber sits between the muzzle and the first baffle, and the porting is shaped to shorten the recoil pulse, so the muzzle stays flat in fast strings.

The E-BCG is the other big part: a domed CPR-360 cam pin, a flared tail and forward vents that push gas away from your face. There are Plan B Dragon versions with a taper mount for Q style cans, LATCH charging handles, RAVEN2 ambi receiver sets, gas blocks, SF15 rifles and Glock parts.

A Dragon costs more than the typical muzzle device, about $107 against roughly $73, and it's the second most common one, on about 12% of builds that have a muzzle device. Lantac gas tubes show up too, seventh in that slot.

The trade-off is blast. Recoil drops, but the gas goes sideways, and reviewers describe a chest thumping concussion that sends neighbors down the line at covered ranges. At least one buyer returned it for that alone. The finish can also mar during install, so use a proper wrench.

We'd put a Dragon on a rifle you shoot outdoors or in competition. If you share a covered bay or plan to add a suppressor, start with a Plan B version so the can goes straight on.
