Leapers/UTG

Leapers/UTG ranked #57 of 323 brands on GunPartPicker in September 2026, just behind Trijicon, with about 1 in every 333 parts builders added. Down from #56 in August. Builders reached for Leapers/UTG mostly for iron sights parts. The most added single part was the Leapers UTG 1-Piece AR-15 Carry Handle Sight, Matte Black - TLURS001, taking the top spot from the Leapers UTG PRO Mil-Spec 6 Position Receiver Extension Tube KIT - Black.

Demand for foregrips slipped about 15% on August. About 53% of the 30 Leapers/UTG products we track are in stock today.

Also popular this month: Leapers UTG PRO Mil-Spec 6 Position Receiver Extension Tube KIT - Black, Leapers UTG PRO Mil-Spec 6-Position Receiver Extension Tube, Leapers UTG Ambidextrous Extended AR-15 Magazine Release - Black and Leapers UTG PRO Mil-Spec 6-Position Extension Tube - Matte Bronze.

Why Leapers/UTG

UTG is the budget line from Leapers in Livonia, Michigan: mounts, sights, handguards, stocks, grips and bipods for nearly any rifle you own. Parts come out of the Michigan plant or a manufacturing center in Taiwan.

UTG PRO is the step up, made in Michigan with CNC machined parts and in-house molded plastics. Look for PRO on the box when you want the US made version.

Grips are the cheap win here. A UTG pistol grip sells for about $10 against roughly $20 for the typical grip, which is about as little as an AR part costs.

Fit and finish on the cheapest items can be plain, and a budget mount holding your zero deserves more scrutiny than a grip. The lifetime warranty takes some of the risk out.

We'd use UTG for grips, rail covers and tube kits, and spend more on optic mounts and anything else that holds a zero.
