Seriously frustrated with the barrel nut design on this. It was a pain to time correctly and get torqued down. My wrench kept slipping. Once on, the handguard itself is fine and holds tight, but that installation process was just unnecessarily difficult. Midwest Industries could do better here.
Its a handguard, it works. The M-LOK slots are standard, easy to mount accessories. For an AR-15 handguard its a bit chunky compared to some other brands but it feels sturdy enough for regular use. Not bad, but not mind blowing either.
Swapped out an old quad rail for this MI 15 inch. What a difference in weight and feel! Installation was straightforward for a free-float. Hardcoat anodized finish looks durable. Just wish it came with a QD swivel mount built in, had to add a separate M-LOK one.
Finally got this on my 16 inch build with an extended rifle gas system. The 15 inch length is perfect for tucking my YHM Turbo K slightly under, looks super clean. M-LOK slots are precise and hold my light securely. Rock solid free-float, no flex at all.
