Spike's Tactical
Overview
The Spike's Tactical Dynacomp AK Brake is designed specifically for the 7.62x39mm caliber and features a left-hand thread pitch of M14x1, making it compatible with a variety of AK platforms. This muzzle brake effectively reduces recoil and muzzle rise, enhancing control during rapid fire, which is crucial for maintaining accuracy on follow-up shots. While its primary application is for AK-style rifles, data suggests it is frequently found in mid-length gas system builds, particularly those chambered in 5.56 NATO.

Spikes Dynacomp on my AK has been the brake that pairs best with my Magpul Zhukov-S handguard. Vent geometry redirects gas away from the support hand. Threading on the LH muzzle was true.
Spikes Dynacomp AK brake reduces muzzle rise well but is loud to the shooter even with ear pro. Side venting amplifies indoors. Outside its less of an issue. Mounting was straightforward with the crush washer.
works great. concussion to the sides is heavy
Spikes Dynacomp on an AK in 7.62x39 reduced muzzle rise meaningfully. The left hand 14.1 threading was correct for my AKM. Crush washer makes timing the brake easy. Side ports vent more than down so dust doesnt kick up. Holds up to a couple thousand rounds.
