FFL transfers in Bakersfield, asked and answered
How much does an FFL transfer cost in Bakersfield?
Most Bakersfield dealers have never published a rate, so there is no honest average yet. Transfers in California typically run $75 to $125, plus the $31.19 California DROS fee. The list above shows every dealer whose fee we do know.
How many gun dealers are there in Bakersfield?
28 licensed dealers hold a current federal firearms licence at an address in Bakersfield, against 58 in January 2021.
Can a gun be shipped to my house in California?
No. A firearm bought online ships to a licensed dealer, who runs the Form 4473 and the background check before handing it over. The transfer fee on this page is what that dealer charges for doing it.
Listings come from the ATF August 2026 Federal Firearms Licensee list and exclude licensees operating from a residence. A licence is not an endorsement and licensees are not required to accept transfers from third parties. Fees are reported by buyers, change without notice, and are not a quote.
