Rattle Can Blue Tiger: the Call of Duty Camo on a Real AR-15, AK-47 and Glock
Blue Tiger is the Call of Duty camo for 75 headshots with one gun, first in Call of Duty 4 in 2007 and back in Modern Warfare 2 in 2009. Ours paints the Call of Duty 4 look: black stripes over bright blue. Here it is painted with real spray can colors on 12 real guns. Pick yours to open it in the planner, then reroll the layout or paint over it by hand.

Where the Blue Tiger camo comes from
Blue Tiger arrived in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare in November 2007. You needed 75 headshots with a gun to unlock it, or 50 with a shotgun.
Modern Warfare 2 kept the 75 headshot rule in 2009, one step before Red Tiger. The look changed, though. In Call of Duty 4 it was black and blue. In MW2 it was two shades of blue with no black.
Some Call of Duty 4 players liked it better than Red Tiger because it stayed visible on dark maps. MW2's level 50 title, Maj., uses a Blue Tiger background.
Like Red Tiger, the stripes come from Vietnam tiger stripe camo. Black Ops 2, Modern Warfare Remastered and Black Ops 4 all brought it back.

Painting Blue Tiger on a real gun
Krylon Gloss True Blue for the base, Navy Blue for the soft edges and Black for the stripes. Spray the navy as a wider stripe first, then lay a narrower black stripe on top so the navy shows as a halo.
For the MW2 look, skip the black and use the navy as the stripe color.
We'd paint a test stripe on cardboard first. You want the navy halo thin, or the blue disappears.
How to spray Blue Tiger on a gun
1. Strip it down
On an AR pull the bolt carrier group and split the upper and lower. On an AK take off the dust cover and bolt carrier. On a Glock take the slide off. Remove the optic or plan to tape it.
2. Degrease everything
Wipe every outside surface with acetone or isopropyl alcohol. Paint will not hold over gun oil.
3. Mask what moves
Plug the chamber and muzzle, tape the ejection port, magazine well, trigger and safety, and cover the optic lenses.
4. Base coat in true blue
Two light coats over the whole gun, 8 to 12 inches away, 10 minutes apart.
5. Black tiger stripes
Cut tiger stripe shapes from painter's tape or a stencil sheet: thick in the middle, pointed at both ends, leaning steeply across the gun. Spray black with a light navy blue edge first.
6. Black tiger stripes
Cut tiger stripe shapes from painter's tape or a stencil sheet: thick in the middle, pointed at both ends, leaning steeply across the gun. Spray black.
7. Let it cure
Handle it after an hour but give it a full day before it goes in a case, and a few days before hard use.
