Rattle Can Hyper Beast: the CS2 Skin on a Real AR-15, AK-47 and Glock

Hyper Beast is the CS:GO skin with a screaming monster in cyan, pink and yellow, first on the M4A1-S in April 2015. Illustrator Brock Hofer drew the art. Here it is painted with real spray can colors on 12 real guns. Pick yours to open it in the planner, then reroll the layout or paint over it by hand.

Quick answer

  • The Hyper Beast skin comes from CS2.

Where the Hyper Beast skin comes from

The M4A1-S Hyper Beast came in the Chroma 2 case on 15 April 2015. The AWP Hyper Beast followed in the Falchion case on 26 May 2015.

The Nova got one in Operation Wildfire in 2016 and the Five-SeveN in Operation Hydra in 2017. The Workshop text credits the artwork to illustrator Brock Hofer.

The look is a big toothy creature in loud cyan, pink, yellow and black. Valve's flavor text jokes about black light sensitivity. On a worn AWP only the creature is left.

In October 2026 a Field-Tested M4A1-S Hyper Beast listed around $147 on the Steam Market. It's one of the loudest skins you can put on a real gun.

Painting a Hyper Beast on a real gun

Freehanding the creature takes an artist. The spray can version keeps the colors and the energy: Gloss Blue Ocean Breeze base, then pink, yellow and black shards through a splinter stencil.

Want the face? Print it, cut it from stencil film, and spray it on the side of the handguard or the stock.

We'd keep the face to one side of the gun. You'll see it in photos, and the shards carry the rest.

How to spray Hyper Beast on a gun

  1. 1. Strip it down

On an AR pull the bolt carrier group and split the upper and lower. On an AK take off the dust cover and bolt carrier. On a Glock take the slide off. Remove the optic or plan to tape it.

  2. 2. Degrease everything

Wipe every outside surface with acetone or isopropyl alcohol. Paint will not hold over gun oil.

  3. 3. Mask what moves

Plug the chamber and muzzle, tape the ejection port, magazine well, trigger and safety, and cover the optic lenses.

  4. 4. Base coat in blue ocean breeze

Two light coats over the whole gun, 8 to 12 inches away, 10 minutes apart.

  5. 5. Mambo pink through a splinter stencil

Lay a splinter stencil sheet on the gun and spray mambo pink through it.

  6. 6. Sun yellow through a splinter stencil

Lay a splinter stencil sheet on the gun and spray sun yellow through it.

  7. 7. Black through a splinter stencil

Lay a splinter stencil sheet on the gun and spray black through it.

  8. 8. Let it cure

Handle it after an hour but give it a full day before it goes in a case, and a few days before hard use.
