Why B&P
Baschieri & Pellagri was founded in Bologna, Italy in 1885 and still makes its shotshells in the Bologna area. It makes its own powder, wads and cases in house, and it joined the Fiocchi Group in 2020, now part of CSG.
The name to know is the Gordon case. Its base and wad work as a two part recoil reducer, so a long day of clays pushes softer. Lines run from MB and F2 competition loads to steel shot and big game shells.
This is shotgun ammo, not an AR part, and it costs more than bulk target loads. We'd buy it for clays or birds when felt recoil matters to you.
- The Gordon System uses a special base and wad that soak up recoil.
- B&P makes its own powder, wads, Gordon cases and biodegradable components, not just the finished shells.
