Why Chaos Gear Supply
Chaos Gear Supply is the old name for CGS Group, a New Mexico suppressor maker that leans hard on 3D printing. Its cans are printed in grade 5 titanium, which keeps weight down and lets the company shape the internals freely.
The Hyperion is the rifle can that put it on the map. The full size FS is 9.5 inches and 15.1 ounces at about $1,380, and the compact K is 6.4 inches and 10.5 ounces at about $1,130. Both are built to cut blowback on semi autos.
The rest of the line covers the Helios, MOD9, Hydra, Kraken and Nautilus suppressors, plus Qube pistol compensators and the Pandora firing device.
Its suppressors sell well above the typical can, about $1,550 against roughly $900, and in early October only about 15% of its listings across stores were in stock.
We'd look at CGS if a light titanium can with low blowback matters more than price. Expect to pay more and wait longer than for a mainstream steel can.
