Why Combat Application Technologies
Combat Application Technologies, or CAT, makes the NOAH, a 3D printed rifle suppressor sold through Silencer Shop dealers. It's built around 6mm ARC AR-15s and works on 6 Creedmoor, 6GT and 5.56 with the right barrel length.
The NOAH is 6.15 inches long and 1.6 inches wide. The grade 5 titanium version weighs 8.6 ounces and needs a 10 inch barrel, and the 718 Inconel version weighs 17.5 ounces and goes down to 8 inches. It has a DLC finish.
It mounts on a 1.375x24 HUB, with a 5/8x24 direct thread adapter in the box, or CAT's own QD mount. The Surge Bypass design is built to cut gas blowback, which matters on a suppressed semi auto.
Its cans sell above the typical suppressor, about $1,250 against roughly $900, and in early October only about 33% of its listings across stores were in stock.
