Fort Scott, Kansas, Made in USA · Lead free · Solid copper · TUI bullets

Why Fort Scott Munitions

Fort Scott Munitions is a Kansas ammo maker that loads lead free bullets machined from solid copper or solid brass rod. Its signature is the TUI, short for Tumble Upon Impact.

A TUI bullet is shaped to start tumbling end over end a few inches into tissue, instead of expanding like a hollow point. The 5.56 load uses a 70 grain solid copper bullet.

It costs more than range ammo, and it's a different design from the bonded hunting rounds most people know. We'd use it where lead is banned, and test your own rifle's groups first.

  • TUI bullets are designed to start tumbling end over end after a few inches in tissue.
  • The bullets are CNC machined from solid copper (SCS) or solid brass (SBS) rod, not cast or jacketed lead.
