About Primary
PWS makes long stroke piston AR rifles and uppers out of Boise, Idaho. Their FRC compensators are the muzzle device most people know them for.
Boise, Idaho · Long stroke piston · Lifetime warranty · Sub MOA guarantee · Suppressor compatible brakes
Why Primary
Primary Weapons Systems builds long stroke piston ARs and uppers in Boise, Idaho on its own CNC machines. Long stroke means the piston runs straight back to the carrier, the way an AK does it, instead of a gas tube.
The extra mass of the piston adds energy to the bolt group, which helps it run dirty or suppressed. The MK1 series is the AR-15 line and the MK2 series is the .308 version.
The FRC compensator is the muzzle device people know. It's suppressor compatible and cuts muzzle rise on fast strings.
Every PWS upper and complete rifle carries a sub MOA guarantee with quality ammo and a lifetime warranty. The catch is a heavier, more expensive gun with proprietary piston parts. We'd buy one for a hard use or suppressed rifle, not a budget build.
- The FRC compensator is suppressor compatible and cuts muzzle rise by 70% on rapid fire strings.
- PWS uppers and complete rifles carry a sub MOA guarantee when you feed them quality ammo.
- PWS parts come with a lifetime manufacturer warranty.
