Timber Creek ambi safety is a budget tier ambi selector that works. Both sides activate at 90 degrees with positive detent. Black anodize is the matte type. Mil-spec install with the standard detent spring. Good ambi at a reasonable price.
Timber Creek ambi safety installs like any standard milspec selector but the package was missing the detent and spring which I usually expect at this price. Had to scavenge from another part. The selector itself works fine once you have the small parts.
Timber Creeks ambi safety selector function is exactly what you need, both sides clicking positively at 90 degrees. The black anodize is slightly more matte than my other black parts when compared in good light. Detent click is sharp. Standard milspec install.
Coming in under more expensive ambi safeties, Timber Creeks holds up just fine. Both levers same size and shape. 90 degree throw, no short throw option but works. Detent click is positive. Black anodizing is a true matte black, not the dark gray you sometimes get.
Timber Creek ambi safety selector in black is straightforward mil spec ambi. Both sides function identically. Black anodize matches their other black parts. Standard install with the milspec detent spring. Solid ambi for a reasonable price.
