Plan your Class 3 dealer
Suppressors go through a Class 3 (SOT) dealer, and the federal tax on them has been $0 since January 1, 2026. You still pay the dealer's transfer fee. Some states only allow suppressors and SBRs that are federally registered or possessed in compliance with federal law. Check your state's statute before you buy.

Overview
The U-RAC Suppressor Shield from MODTAC is designed specifically for AR-15 builds, featuring a length of 5 inches that provides adequate coverage for your suppressor while minimizing heat distortion and mirage. This shield effectively helps to shield the shooter from the intense heat generated during sustained fire, allowing for more comfortable handling and better accuracy. It is commonly found in tactical and competitive shooting setups where sustained firing is expected.
