Why Egw
EGW has machined gun parts in its own US shop since 1991, and it also makes parts for big gun companies. Glock and pistol owners know it for red dot mounts, and rifle shooters for Picatinny scope bases.
The line covers Picatinny scope rails for bolt guns, scope rings, pistol red dot mounts for dots like the RMR, SRO and Holosun K series, 1911 parts like hard sears and firing pin stops, case gauges and smithing tools.
Prices are fair: about $40 for a scope rail and about $50 for a Beretta 92 optic mount.
EGW parts are made to fit specific guns, so double check the model and footprint before you order. Most of its 1911 parts drop into an in spec pistol, and a gunsmith can still fine tune the sear for a custom trigger job.
We'd look at EGW for a scope base on a bolt gun or a plate to put a dot on a pistol. It's solid machine shop hardware at a fair price.
