Why Meprolight
Meprolight is an Israeli sight maker founded in 1990 to supply the IDF. It started with tritium mortar sights and was the first to put tritium in handgun and rifle sights.
Today the line covers tritium pistol night sights for Glock, SIG, Smith and Wesson and others, plus rifle optics like the M21 and MOR. Many of the rifle sights are self powered, so they work without batteries.
Tritium dims over the years, and the self powered rifle sights are bigger than a modern micro dot. We'd look at Meprolight for night sights or a dot that never needs a battery.
