Why SLR Rifleworks

SLR Rifleworks makes handguards and gas blocks in its own shop in Central Florida. It was one of the first to make the Sentry set screw adjustable gas block.

The Sentry 7 is the known part, an adjustable gas block you tune with a set screw, about $158 at list. There are Melonite and titanium versions.

Handguards come for 5.56 and .308, including the slim M-LOK Solo Ultra Lite and ION series.

Both run above the typical part. SLR handguards cost about $290 against roughly $175, and gas blocks about $175 against $50.

An adjustable block helps when you run a suppressor or tune a rifle, but it's one more thing to set and check. We'd buy SLR for a tuned or suppressed build, and a plain block for a basic one.
