Ultradyne ranked #90 of 323 brands on GunPartPicker in September 2026, just behind American Defense, with about 1 in every 1000 parts builders added. Up from #95 in August. Builders reached for Ultradyne mostly for front sight parts. Why Ultradyne

Ultradyne is a Columbia, Missouri shop that machines its own parts in house on CNC, mostly from billet 6061-T6. It makes chassis, stocks and muzzle devices, but AR folks find it through the sights.

The C4 sights are the headline. The front post has a hole through it, so you center a ring in a ring instead of covering the target with a post. The rear has 200 to 600 yard drop settings, the front adjusts without a tool, and the pair weighs about 3 ounces.

The C2 is the simpler dual aperture set in 416 stainless and 6061 aluminum. The Apollo Max brake is 416 stainless with a nitride finish, about 2.9 inches long and 4.4 ounces on 1/2-28 threads. The UD Chassis and UDX buttstock round out the line.

Ultradyne is the fourth most added rear sight, in about 8% of builds that have one, and the fifth most added front sight at about 6%. That's a big showing for a brand whose sights cost several times what a basic flip-up does.

Cost is the obvious catch. The C4 pair lists at $299 when plenty of backup sights cost under $50. That is hard to justify on a gun with a red dot. The Apollo Max is rough on the shooter next to you, and installing it takes a vise or a second pair of hands.

We'd buy Ultradyne if irons are your real sights, not just a backup, and the C4 set is the one to start with. If they only ride folded under an optic, cheaper sights make more sense.
